(Pittsburgh, PA)
Earlier this month, VisionIT, Inc. Vice President of Government Affairs, Larry Arreguin, traveled to Pittsburgh to address a group of small business owners participating in the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8 (a) program. With several representatives of major federal and local government agencies on hand, Arreguin spoke to about 75 participants about how to grow their businesses by implementing stronger business principles.
The event was part of a conference hosted by the regional SBA office in Pittsburgh. The conference was centered on equipping its SBA members with valuable tools and information to help them become more successful, eventually transitioning out of the 8 (a) program. SBA officials chose VisionIT because of its amazing growth and many successes in becoming a major corporation in the IT industry.
“Many of these businesses have the potential to become successful, but are in the beginning phase of building their business model,” said Arreguin. “Many of VisionIT’s past experiences gave them greater insight towards the steps they need to take in taking their companies to the next level.”
The SBA 8 (a) program was developed to help socially and economically disadvantaged business owners better compete with larger more established businesses.
