Today Detroit-headquartered IT staffing, outsourcing and vendor management firm VisionIT, Inc. was named as part of Inc. magazine’s prestigious Inc. 500—the publication’s annual list of America’s fastest-growing private companies.

Ranking 205th out of 500, VisionIT is the second highest Michigan firm included in this year’s compilation. This is the third time in the past five years that VisionIT has been a part of the Inc. 500 having previously been listed in both 2004 and 2005. VisionIT’s inclusion on this year’s list adds to the momentum of what has already become a breakout year in national recognition and accolades for the growing IT staffing and outsourcing firm.

“This list is one of the most anticipated in the business world and it is an absolute honor to be recognized again for our team’s dedicated work to grow our company,” said David H. Segura, VisionIT founder and CEO.

For the last 26 years the Inc. 500 has evaluated America’s fastest-growing companies, comparing revenue data from a variety of categories. The 2008 Inc. 500 list measures revenue growth from 2004 through 2007.

To qualify, companies must be U.S.-based and privately held, independent – not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies – as of December 31, 2007, and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2004, and $2 million in 2007.

For the sixth consecutive year Hispanic Business magazine has named VisionIT as part of its ‘100 Fastest-growing Hispanic-owned Companies,’ this year ranking the fast-growth IT staffing, vendor management and outsourcing firm 11th.

Earlier this year VisionIT ascended to its highest ranking of 66 as part of the publication’s HB 500—its annual list of the largest Hispanic-owned businesses in the U.S. Based on its revenue growth from 2006-2007, VisionIT was also the fastest-growing business of the HB 500 list.

“This is another phenomenal accomplishment for our growing company,” said David H. Segura, VisionIT CEO. “2007 was truly a breakout year for us and I am elated to see our team’s efforts garnering national attention from publications such as Hispanic Business.”

Because of its tremendous showing as part of this year’s ‘100 Fastest-growing,’ VisionIT was also featured in Hispanic Business magazine’s current issue.
