Ambassador Ron Kirk from the Office of the United States Trade Representatives (USTR) recognized VisionIT during his speech at the jam packed Detroit Economic Club meeting today at the Cobo Convention Center in Detroit.
Ambassador Kirk said VisionIT is a company “that knows business as usual just won’t cut it, and so they are trying out new ideas and new business models.”
After recognizing the global reach of VisionIT as one of the country’s largest diversity-owned information technology services firms in the country, he continued by sharing with the crowd his first encounter with VisionIT CEO David Segura and his intentions for meeting with him during his visit in Detroit.
“I met VisionIT’s Founder and CEO, David Segura, when he came to Washington, DC in January to participate in a White House forum with American business leaders…he is one of the business leaders I’ll be meeting with during my time here in Detroit…businesses like his are creating new 21st century jobs for American workers, and at USTR we want to support those jobs in any way possible.”
