VisionIT VP Luis Uribe Featured as one of the Top 50 IT Leaders in Latin America

VisionIT Vice President, Mexico Country Manager, Luis E. Uribe was named by the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) as one of the Top 50 IT leaders in Latin America. Luis serves as Country Manager for VisionIT’s Mexico operations delivering IT services to major corporations and government agencies in Mexico and Latin America.

Prior to joining VisionIT, Uribe began his career at IBM, where he created many multivendor international agreements, in order to bring banking and finance business solutions to the Mexican market.

Uribe later joined Citigroup, where he held major local and regional responsibilities. He successfully supported banking areas including Corporate, Consumer, and Private banking; participating with those businesses from strategy development to solution implementation and business monitoring.

Having gained several years of expertise in BPM discipline and process improvement, Uribe launched his own independent consultant career, delivering Models of Governance, Centers of Excellences, Maturity Models as well as many business processes improvement solutions and change management.

The award itself came from the HITEC 100, where the Top 100 Hispanic leaders in the United States are recognized.

Uribe received the award at the half day symposium and ceremony held by HITEC in Miami, Florida on March 31st, 2011.

VisionIT CEO David H. Segura Featured on Emmy Award Winning TV Show “Leaders on Leadership”

CEO of VisionIT David H. Segura will be featured on Emmy Award Winning TV Show, “Leaders on Leadership” co-produced by Detroit’s Wayne State University and Detroit Public Television. Hosted by Larry Fobes, “Leaders” is an interview based program that features only those who have shown incredible leadership and have risen to the Chief Executive level of their respective industries.

As leaders learn from all aspects of their lives, Fobes asked Segura about his interests from his school years to starting VisionIT to present day experiences leading a global corporation. “I have always had a love for technology and making it truly useful to the end user by applying it to streamline business processes in many industries,” said Segura. “In regards to leadership, leaders are made out of the experiences and challenges that one faces and how one reacts in those times. I have been able to utilize these experiences as well as learning from historic leaders and how they handled different scenarios and apply them to how I lead VisionIT today.”

David Segura’s episode of “Leaders on Leadership” will air on Sunday March 27, 2011 at 11:00am EST on WTVS (Channel 56 PBS, Detroit).
