VisionIT was featured in a front-page article published by the Columbus Dispatch, with President Christine Rice offering perspectives on filling IT positions in the Columbus market.

The article reveals the challenges university-rich Columbus is encountering in meeting industry demand for skilled IT employees.

‘”IT is a key field of demand right now,” Rice said. “A lot of clients that had budgets and projects on hold are loosening up again. Eight to 10 years ago, you would see signing bonuses, and for some years during the recession that went away. Now, we’re starting to see that increase.”’

VisionIT CEO David Segura and Elite Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) Network Chairman, Bob Mulz, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the gala hosted during the SDVOB National conference. The Elite SDVOB National Conference, held in Chicago, hosted over 250 key business leaders in many industries including Utilities and Federal agencies from around the United States.

The signed MOU states that VisionIT will utilize members of the Elite SDVOB Network in identifying subcontracting and prime contract opportunities in support of VisionIT’s existing and potential customers. In return the Elite SDVOB Network will leverage their network to support VisionIT in new business opportunities.

The introductory remarks, given by CEO of Gallagher Group International Elizabeth Gallagher, brought both Segura and Mulz to discuss the importance of their strategic initiative. Mulz described the opportunities that the Elite SDVOB will be able to provide to its national network, thanking VisionIT for building the partnership with his network. Segura spoke passionately about why VisionIT feels it is key to support small and diverse businesses and told his personal story of building VisionIT from a one person company to a global enterprise.

“At VisionIT, we are thankful for those who serve our country and believe strongly in the importance of providing significant opportunities for Service-Disabled Veteran-owned businesses”, said David Segura. “We are excited about teaming opportunities with these firms in supporting Commercial and Federal customers.”

Today as a global company and industry leading IT firm, VisionIT is now advocating for entrepreneurs through mentorship and contract opportunities, and highlighted WE Global’s CEO, Markeith Weldon who is one of VisionIT’s mentored partners who also attended the national conference.
