In her presentation, “Navigating Your Career in Today’s Changing Workplace,” Courter provided guidance on leadership to help women advance their careers. Among her advice: embrace change, adhere to a philosophy of life-long learning and accept challenges as opportunities.

A two-star major general, Courter’s more than 30-year career in leadership positions includes roles as a former national commander of the United States Air Force Auxiliary – the Civil Air Patrol and management positions at Valassis, a $2.3 billion public marketing services corporation, including Vice President of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
