VisionIT President Christine Rice was a distinguished panelist at the Michigan Minority Procurement Conference. The panel, sponsored by Ford Motor Company and the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC), was held on May 12, 2011 at COBO Conference and Exhibition Center in Downtown Detroit.
The panel was focused on developing and mentoring the next generation of leaders. More than 70 High school students were in attendance for “The Journey to CEO” presentation. Rice spoke about the experience that made her who she is today as well as questions about the marketplace and future initiatives.
“I thoroughly enjoy mentoring students who are eager to learn and want to realize their full potential,” said Rice. “While the conference was full of corporations in various industries, the tools and experiences that I shared are applicable across the board. I would like to thank the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council and Ford Motor Company for hosting the panel and asking for my participation. It was an honor.”
